Mr. Carlos Slim took part in the 25th Plenary Meeting of the Montevideo Circle Foundation, with the speech, “Technology and the New Civilization”. The core objective of these annual meetings is facing the new times the world is living, from the Latin American perspective.

The 25th Plenary Meeting of the Montevideo Circle gathered, as every year, renowned personalities who focused their presentations on the topic, “The Impact of Technology”, which was the title of the 2019 Edition of this encounter.

The Montevideo Circle was founded in 1996, by initiative of the former Uruguayan President, Julio María Sanguinetti, summoning a prominent group of intellectuals, financiers and politicians from Europe and Latin America.

In the 2019 Edition, Mr. Carlos Slim delivered the talk, “Technology and the New Civilization”.
